Javier Ramirez, financial advisor for Edward Jones, received the Keep It in the Bluff Spotlight Award from the Flour Bluff Business Association at its regular meeting held May 19, 2017, at Funtrackers in Flour Bluff. “Flour Bluff has always been very near and dear to my heart,” said Ramirez upon receiving the award.
Ramirez shared that his grandfather, who passed away in the late 90s, lived in Flour Bluff. He also told the group of about 35 that he started his twelve-year Navy career here and that upon leaving that phase of his life behind decided to return to Corpus Christi. When the opportunity came for him to assume Melanie Hambrick’s role in the Flour Bluff office for Edward Jones, Ramirez happily accepted. “When they asked how I felt about working in Flour Bluff, I said I’d love to,” added Ramirez. “My attitude is one of servitude. This is the way it was in my Navy career. It’s the way I handle myself in church and with my family. I am a peacemaker. If I can help people at the end of the day and make sure people are doing what they need to do to prepare for the future, that’s what I love to do.”
“I’m a financial advisor with Edward Jones, a financial-services firm dedicated to serving the needs of individual investors.
