It is now many years since the Shadow asked, “Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men?” Perhaps to update the question a bit, it would be fair to ask, “Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of politicians?” Certainly, those paying attention to events of the last several years have observed the results of that evil. A good example might be the Middle Eastern wars where the United States supplied both sides, lost countless U.S. soldiers, created a Muslim migration unlike anything seen in modern history, and spent billions of dollars borrowed from the Chinese. Yet another example would be the current election cycle, where elite politicians, both Democrat and Republican, would like to completely disenfranchise the voters and establish the candidate of their choice.
Among the Republican Party elite, the hostility toward Donald Trump is immense, well-funded, and vicious. It is also noteworthy that they despise Ted Cruz, and even though they despise him, they are providing tentative support in the hopes of derailing Trump. Cruz is not a real threat because he cannot gain enough delegates to win the nomination outright, so he is being played by the elite. Cruz has to know this, so I wonder, what evil may lurk in his heart?
But, the issue is bigger than the Republican Party. Our election, in many ways, is being played out on the world stage. This was duly noted by Ted Nugent in a recent Facebook post on March 29, 2016. Ted said the following, “At this time I do not endorse Donald Trump any more than I endorse Ted Cruz as I admire both gentlemen. But these points are SO damn special!”
- “Obama is against Trump
- The Media is against Trump
- The establishment Democrats are against Trump
- The establishment Republicans are against Trump
- The Pope is against Trump
- The UN is against Trump
- The EU is against Trump
- China is against Trump
- Mexico is against Trump
- Soros is against Trump
- Black Lives Matter is against Trump
- MoveOn.Org is against Trump
- Koch Bro’s are against Trump
- Hateful, racist, violent Liberals are against Trump
- Cher says she will leave the country
- Mylie Cyrus says she will leave the country
- Whoopi says she will leave the country
- Rosie says she will leave the country
- Al Sharpton says he will leave the country
- Gov. Brown says California will build a wall
- “Sounds like the kind of president the US needs!”
Nugent showed a great deal of insight in noting that it is the entire world that is against Trump, so why would that be? Some would say that it is his gruff, New York persona, his crude manner, his go-for-the-throat attitude, his lack of political correctness, or even his lovely wife. If that is so, why then would they ignore the witches’ warts, the lies and the criminal activity of Hillary Clinton? I would suggest that it is none of these. His persona, his manner, his attitude are mere reasons to justify the attack. His real sin is putting America first and wanting to make America great again because he is a nationalist, and nationalism is now politically incorrect. His opponents are all internationalists. This truth should be obvious to those paying attention for the last few years if not the last century. The erosion of freedom, the disdain for Christianity, jobs transferred to foreign countries, the failure to secure our border and a manipulated economy to name a few, all serve the internationalist interest. They certainly do not serve the interest of the honest, hard-working American. It is no accident that this has happened, and incidentally, it happens regardless of which party is leading Washington because both parties are made up of internationalists. Neither party wants to secure our borders; neither party wants to bring jobs back from foreign countries; and neither party wants to protect our freedoms. The political conflicts that play out on the evening news are artful theatrics that remind me a bit of wrestling. They are presented to make the voters think there is a difference in the parties when philosophically they are two heads of the same snake.
So again I ask, “What evil lurks in the hearts of politicians?” The answer is internationalism.
As always, I would encourage you to take time to inform yourself and remember the words of Paul Newman, “A man with no enemies is a man with no character.”
Until next time…
